Privacy Policy

When you connect YNAB, Fintective accesses YNAB data through YNAB's OAuth 2.0 flow and only after you authorize that connection. We use the information you authorize to provide financial analysis, detector results, alerts, and related product functionality inside Fintective.

We use authorized connection methods such as OAuth 2.0 where applicable, and we do not ask for or store credentials that are not necessary for the service. For YNAB specifically, we do not ask for or store your YNAB password.

Fintective uses Google Gemini, provided through Google's AI services, only to help prepare email summaries of findings and allocation suggestions. We do not use AI to analyze every connected record or send your entire connected financial dataset to AI services for broad pattern or anomaly detection.

We use information to operate Fintective, provide and improve the service, generate insights and alerts, maintain account and product security, respond to support requests, process billing-related events, and comply with legal obligations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. This includes measures intended to protect data in transit, data at rest, account access, and internal access to sensitive information.

Fintective stores connected application data in our secure database environment. We rely on protections designed to secure that environment, including encrypted connections, encryption at rest, and access controls intended to limit access to authorized personnel and systems.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not lease or rent user data to third parties for advertising or their own marketing purposes.

We may disclose information to service providers and contractors that help us operate Fintective, including providers that support infrastructure, authentication, analytics, communications, payments, and AI-enabled functionality. These parties are authorized to use the information only as needed to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and service. We may also use analytics tools to understand usage and improve performance. Where required by law, optional analytics technologies are offered on a consent basis through our cookie preferences tools.

Your personal data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers in accordance with applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the personal data we hold about you.

To exercise a privacy right, contact privacy@fintective.ai. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

We retain YNAB-connected data while your account remains active so we can continue financial analysis and alert detection for you. You may delete your account through the product or contact us at privacy@fintective.ai to request deletion.

After deletion or an approved deletion request, we remove or de-identify personal data from active systems, and may retain limited information for backup, security, fraud-prevention, billing, recordkeeping, and legal compliance purposes for a limited period consistent with our retention practices.

Fintective is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by email and/or through the service. The updated version will be effective when posted unless stated otherwise.
